18/1/18. AVE Cities Network goes one more year to the great professional and business meeting platform that FITUR represents, where the association defends its tourism proposal with the aim of strengthening the cities that comprise it and its Avexperience and Renfe Spain Pass products, as well as the benefits of using the high-speed train when traveling around Spain. And it does so with its own counter in the stands of several of the autonomous communities that make up the Network such as Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, Andalusia and Castilla y León.

The fair (January 17 to 21 at the Ifema in Madrid) brings the latest proposals, destinations and developments in world tourism which allows the Network to present to the main agents of the tourism industry, establish important contacts and commercial agreements. In fact, the agenda has different meetings with the OETS (Tourist Offices Abroad) of the priority markets, at this time, for the Network such as Buenos Aires, New York, Abudabi, Mexico or Rome. It will also sign a new collaboration agreement with CEAV (Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies) and renew its membership with ETOA (European Tourism Association) with the aim of continuing to strengthen its presence in the international and European markets.

The Network promotes its large capitals in FITUR, such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Seville; charming cities such as Alicante, Ciudad Real, Cordoba, Cuenca, Leon, Lleida, Malaga, Ourense, Segovia, Tarragona, Toledo, Valladolid and Zaragoza and places that always surprise such as Albacete, Antequera, Calatayud, Palencia, Puertollano, Villanueva de Córdoba , Villena, Zamora, Elche, Granada, Murcia and Talavera de la Reina. It also presents the autonomous communities that make it up: Andalucía, Aragón, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla y León, Cataluña, Comunitat Valenciana and Comunidad de Madrid. Destinations willing to offer memorable experiences for those who visit them, also taking advantage of the convenience and speed offered by high-speed rail on the move.

AVE Cities Network is one of the many brands and companies that these days are present in FITUR, the International Tourism Fair of Madrid considered as the first major event in the world tourism industry and that has grown by 8% coinciding with the good moment tourism goes through. In this edition, it is expected that more than 6 thousand business meetings will be held among the 135 international buyers and the 500 participating exhibitors and co-exhibitors. The invited buyers (travel agencies and tour operators) come from 39 countries, such as the United Kingdom, Argentina, China, Russia, India, the United States and Colombia, among others.

The balance recorded in the last call has been very positive: it reached a new record with about 245,000 participants (6% more than in 2016), more than 9 thousand participating companies and the attendance of more than 7,500 journalists.
