From today until Thursday, the Network of AVE Cities presents, for the first time, its tourist offer («Avexperience Getaway» and Renfe Spain Pass) and its 29 destinations in the IBTM Barcelona. It is one of the most important international fairs at the moment that focuses its program on a sector that continues to grow, the MICE sector (business trips, incentives, congresses and events).
An excellent opportunity for Ciudades Ave to continue reinforcing its international projection and positioning itself in the meetings and events industry, since more than 15,000 professionals from all over the world are expected to participate, including agencies, hotel chains, tourism offices and Destinations. In addition, this fair includes some 3,000 exhibitors from 150 countries that will have some 70,000 scheduled appointments.
Among the most important appointments made by the Network, within the framework of this fair, is the meeting that will be held with Air India with whom it intends to sign a collaboration agreement. The Indian issuing market is increasingly active and Spain is among the countries demanded by tourists from that country, so this agreement is essential to present the attractions of the destinations as well as the products of this association to Indian tourists who come of holidays to our country.
The organization of the IBTM has chosen Barcelona for the celebration of this fair, which celebrates 30 years, for the fair facilities that the Ciudad Condal has, its capacity to promote major events worldwide and for its many tourist attractions. There are several countries and continents that participate, for the first time, in this event: Iran, Africa, Kazakhstan, Russia. Edinburgh and Japan.
