Ave Cities Network promotes from today until Friday its 29 destinations and its products, Avexperience and Renfe Spain Pass, to agents and experts in tourism in India. This promotion is part of a Direct Jorneys organized by Turespaña, to which the Network has been invited, with the aim of promoting the Spain brand in the Indian market and knowing the main tourist demands of the sector. In this way, the association opens a new market in the Asian country, taking advantage of the direct flight Madrid-Delhi, which operates 3 days a week, Air India company with which the Network maintained a first contact in FITUR, and with which he hopes to reach an agreement.

Today this association  has participated in a fruitful working lunch with the principal directors of agencies and advertising media of India. The destinations and Spanish companies have been able to know, first hand, the specific needs of the market as well as the preferences of travelers when choosing a destination. They have also had a very detailed presentation on the Indian market, highlighting the increase of travelers to Spain in the last year and the upward trend. The most visited cities are Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba.

From 4 to 6 October, the Network has the opportunity to establish a direct relationship, through different B2B workshops, with more than 300 agents and operators from the country, mainly from the cities of Delhi, Ahmedabad and Chennai, to which it will present its alternative to travel Spain and its cities, thanks to the high speed train and the connection between destinations.

The action in India, included in the International Network Promotion Plan for this 2017, is focused on luxury tourism and business or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Congress and Events). On this occasion, the Network will coincide with promotion with several Autonomous Communities such as Galicia, Madrid, Andalusia and Castile and Leon as well as other Spanish destinations such as Barcelona and Costa del Sol.

Turespaña’s invitation to the Ave Cities Network to participate in these Direct Jorneys in India is part of the collaboration agreement that both tourism organizations have maintained for some time and that facilitates their joint promotion.

AVE Cities Network

AVE Cities Network is the association of tourist destinations in Spain connected by the High Speed ​​that was born with the aim of promoting the cities that integrate it under a common strategy, as well as its Renfe Spain Pass and Avexperience products. AVE Cities Network is currently chaired by Seville and consists of the cities of Albacete, Alicante, Antequera, Barcelona, ​​Calatayud, Ciudad Real, Cordoba, Cuenca, León, Lleida, Madrid, Malaga, Ourense, Palencia, Puertollano, Segovia, Seville, Tarragona, Toledo, Valencia, Valladolid, Villanueva de Córdoba, Villena, Zamora and Zaragoza, which are full members, as well as Elche, Granada, Murcia and Talavera de la Reina as adhered cities.

To facilitate the trip to tourists visiting Spain and coming from other countries, Renfe articulates the Renfe Spain Pass service, linked in a special way to the Network. A new way of traveling that facilitates the movement, with flexibility, being able to know several destinations of the Network of Cities Ave in the same getaway. You can choose as many trips as you want (4, 6, 8 or 10) and buy them up to 6 months in advance. Renfe Spain Pass is available in two categories (Tourist and Business) and for two age groups (children and adults); includes all AVE trains as well as long and medium distance trains. Places are reserved through the Internet, travel agencies or stations.
